Radishes

A root veggie from the brassica family, radishes can bring a nice spice to your dish! Great thinly sliced on salads, or on the side of tacos. Also delicious pickled, as an appetizer with butter and salt (very French and wildly good), topped with a squeeze of lime, roasted (they are much sweeter this way!), in soups, etc. For those of you who aren’t a fan of the spiciness of radishes, you can soak in saltwater (about a tablespoon of salt and enough water to cover sliced radishes) for 15 minutes, drain and then prepare!

STorage

Chop off the tops to keep these root veggies crispy! You can either use the tops in a soup or stir fry, or compost. Should stay fresh for at least a week or more in the fridge. Or try pickling them to store for longer!
